Every good design starts with capturing what you want the mood to be for your space. After our meeting you & collecting your project and design goals, we cultivate a design direction. This not only leads our design, but is referred to throughout the entire project.

02. Furnishings investment estimate

We come to the concept meeting with a Furnishings Investment Estimate (commonly known as the Budget) for the items we think you will need for the space. We work with you & get agreement so we can stay on track.

03. 3D renderings and drawings

We explore possible layouts for your new Room making sure that everything is functional and flows together. We apply different design concepts from the mood board to connect style and function.

04. Furnishing & material selections

We shop for you to put together all material selections needed in your design projects. We will discuss quality, sustainability, and aesthetic, making sure everything works together with color, style, and design.

05. turn key -ordering, follow up, delivery & installation

The design process

Our process focuses on collaboration and communication at all times to keep you informed of everything that is happening, and we will also have a bit of fun along the way.

Design and furnishing projects can take 4 to 9 months from start to completion, and larger renovations can take up to 9 to 15 months.

PHASE 1

Consultation

All projects start with a consultation, where we will meet at your home for a 2-hour work meeting where we will tour the house, see the spaces to be designed, review the design needs and the style. Design ideas will be provided to you in real time and we will discuss project timelines and budget. We will provide a written project proposal within 3-5 days of our consultation with all aspects of the projects we discussed, including a detailed scope of work, cost estimates, overall schedule, and next steps. PHASE 2

Start of the project

At this point, you will be given tasks to find inspiration in magazines or on Pinterest. We will schedule additional pre-design meetings to learn more about your lifestyle, functionality needs, and discuss the inspiration for the project in detail. This is a crucial time to focus on your tastes, the vision for your space, which helps inform our design direction. Meetings will be scheduled with all the trades involved and action will be taken. We can work with the contractor of your choice or we have a team of trusted professionals that we can recommend for your project.

PHASE 3

Design Plan and Presentation

We’ll create your design plan based on what we’ve learned from you, as well as our own creative ideas. This typically takes 6-12 weeks from the start of the project, although it can take longer depending on the size of the project. During this phase, you may not hear much from us, but know that we are busy behind the scenes creating your custom design. We’ll specify all materials, fixtures, finishes, and furnishings, obtain quotes from vendors and merchants, and then present a beautiful, functional design plan to all decision makers.

PHASE 4

Supervision and implementation

Once you have approved the final design and proposal, our team will begin the procurement of the products, including ordering, tracking, storage and delivery. We will supervise construction, communicate with suppliers and merchants, conduct site visits, order, track, supervise quality control and coordinate delivery. Detailed project plans and timelines will be provided to you and we will coordinate the installation and finishing work. From now until construction is complete and/or furniture is delivered, we will be there every step of the way.

PHASE 5

Installation and styling

Once construction is complete and all items have been fully inspected, we will schedule delivery of all furniture, artwork, rugs, and professional window treatment installation. Your space will be styled with accessories and professionally cleaned. When you get back to your home it will be completely finished!

Good design doesn’t happen overnight. We want to carefully consider your space, design direction, and protect your investment.

HOW WILL YOU KNOW WHAT I WANT OR NEED?

We start with a creative session to learn how we could plan the space better for your needs, to learn your likes and dislikes, and get clear on design goals. From this meeting we go back to our studio to put together a design concept for your project. With a clear direction, we will all know where we are going.

HOW LONG WILL THIS TAKE?

The design phase where all the planning and preparation takes place lasts approximately 6-8 weeks, depending on your availability. The transformation of your space has a lot to do with whether we need to carry out construction work for the space and the delivery times of the furniture. It is important that you see the entire room assembled at once and not individual pieces. This would be a disconnect for the overview. Therefore, apart from the construction, we will make sure that the furniture and accessories are delivered and installed at the same time as much as possible.

HOW WILL I KNOW THE COST OF FURNISHINGS?

We will prepare an estimate of investment in furniture for your approval. We’ve found that this gives you an idea of costs and helps us get on the same page before looking at items that don’t fit your budget. At our concept meeting, we will review that estimate and adjust any areas that are needed. We will review different cost levels and reach an agreement on investments. Thus, once we are at the presentation meeting, you will know that everything is within the agreed investment.

If I live outside of Mallorca, can you help me?

No problem! We are open to travel for clients with large projects. We can talk about this option in our discovery call. We also offer online design services for clients who are not afraid to do the work themselves or supervise it. We have the same design team that works on local projects to make your project online for your home!
