Can Silenci

A Revived Mountain Refuge:
Rooted in Stone, Reimagined for Stillness

This renovation of a traditional rustic house in the Serra de Tramuntana brings new life to an old structure while preserving its quiet soul. With its thick stone walls, wooden shutters, and timeless materials, the home has been carefully reworked to create a calm, minimalist retreat that honors the past and embraces the present.

Preserving the Bones

The renovation kept the essential structure intact, restoring the traditional stonework and original wooden elements. Layers were stripped back to reveal the texture and history of the house, allowing its natural character to come forward.

Quiet Interiors

Inside, the spaces were redefined with a minimalist approach. Reclaimed wood, lime plaster, and soft linen textiles in warm neutrals give the rooms a soft, natural rhythm. The palette is muted, letting light and shadow animate the spaces.

Stone, Water, Silence

A space of quiet rituals—crafted with natural textures and timeless restraint.

Living with Intention

More than a renovation, this project is a return to essence. It’s about living slowly, in rhythm with the land, the light, and the materials that have shaped Mallorca for centuries.

A Garden of the Island

The surrounding landscape was reimagined as a Mallorcan garden, planted with native species that thrive in the dry, rugged terrain. Terraces and stone paths connect the interior to the outdoors, creating moments of pause and perspective.

Endless Views

An infinity pool at the edge of the site offers a quiet contrast to the textured stone architecture. Reflecting the sky and overlooking the sea, it anchors the experience of stillness and openness that defines the home.
